FUTURE PERFECT

2014 suddenly looked promising at the moment I laid my eyes on the Celine 2014 Resort collection signed by Phoebe Philo. I don't know how the rest of you received the S/S 2014 collection but what she did with the Resort one made me remember what Celine is all about.

HIGH EMBELLISHMENTS

With my last strengths, since I am stuck at home feeling super sick and drinking only lemon juice mixed with honey (a proven recipe against the worst cold one could ever have), I am trying to focus on some of my favorite fall embellishments. My arm candy favorites.

THE NEW CLASSICS

pics: Lanvin coat, Marni shades MO, Lanvin belt, Marni vest, Furla bag, Stella McCartney clutch, Sergio Rossi shoes, MSGM Skirt , Lulu Frost earrings @Moda Operandi , Paul & Joe sweater,

They might seem a little bit out of their league, calling them this way, but what might look too much for some of my friends, for me appears to be simple, effortless classics meant to elevate any wardrobe
and to own, mix and wear all season long.

HARPER'S BAZAAR. THE GOLD RUSH PARTY.

Last Friday Harper's Bazaar Romania celebrated 6 years of excellence in Fashion and Beauty.
Plenty of celebrities attended the event and I was there to savor the best macarons along with the coolest boss ever and my handsome husband. More pics right here.

There is a strong connection between the house of Dior, Monsieur Dior himself, Granville and Impressionist artists. The ones that are already fascinated by the brand's heritage surly noticed the strong link
between the iconic creations and the art movement .
Recently, the renowned publishing house Rizzoli New York released "Dior Impressions: The Inspiration and Influence of Impressionism at the House of Dior", a lavish volume features over 150 pieces of gorgeous art—including noted artworks by Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Manet—alongside a magnificent visual tour of Dior garments, from Christian Dior’s first designs to Raf Simons’s latest collection.
Meant to  to accompany the Impressions Dior exhibition presented at the Musée Christian Dior in Granville, France, this gorgeously produced volume is a must-have for those who not only apreciate Dior's creations but art as well.

ISABEL MARANT X HERITAGE PARIS

In a moment when everyone is talking about Isabel Marant's collaboration with H&M,
I am getting back to an event that caught my attention recently.
The opening of her Los Angeles boutique, inspired the designer to join forces with Heritage Paris and to create two handmade models of skateboards, numbered, signed and Made in France.
Note that this is a capsule collection. That means you have to be fast in order to get your hands and feet on one these two super chic beauties.

FALL FAVORITES

Marni mocassins, Dries Van Noten skirt, Marni clutch, Dries Van Noten skirt

I only picked 4 designers for this selection but they are by far some of my favorites for this fall.
Before Driese Van Noten releced his F/W collection, I was in a place where skirts were NOT on my shopping list. AT ALL. Now, look what Dries did to me. I became a skirt maniac.

I cannot imagine a better way to enjoy a super relaxing Saturday evening at home (that is where I am right now) than following the latest series of videos released by Moda Operandi where style icons share their tales of The One That Got Away.

TECHNOLOGICAL FRENCH (FL)AIR

pics: UN AIR DE DIPTYQUE

You probably all know that diptyque is the one brand recognised for its visionary, distinctive and atypical home fragrance diffusers. But did you know that a completely new (and ingenious) one
is about to invade your living space? Besides the fact that you are able to use the household scents, mobile technology is used to diffuse the fragrance. Hermetically-sealed capsules
are printed with diptyque’s symbolic codes and they all contain a specific scent that is note-perfect.
Its timeless design is clearly part of the decorative world of diptyque and the perfect fusion between ceramic and metal only comes to complete its noble appearance.

STELLA MCCARTNEY SPRING/SUMMER 2014

pics: Stella McCartney S/S 2014

Although there are items in Stella's most recent collection that I do not quite get, I must admit that her global style/ approach towards that same global woman she aims for, is still appealing. You can always recognize a Stella McCartney when you see one and basically that is exactly what all her dedicated costumers are looking for: an understated approach and an over-the-top mixture between masculine and feminine.

CHLOE ATTITUDES

Text by Sarah Mower, Foreword by Gaby Aghion, Contribution by Marc Ascoli

Three days ago, Chloé celebrated at its boutique from Saint-Honoré the launch of its book Chloé Attitudes. This gorgeous volume is a chronicle of the high-end fashion house  that recently celebrated its 60 years and also a result of one of the most appreciated exhibitions presented at Palais de Tokyo for this very same reason. More info about the book and author, right here

HELLO CHICNESS

 Stella McCartney clutch, Acne cardigan

Animal print alway got me thinking at self-posession and obviousness. PFW is all about that as well but with a slight irreverent approach. Here are my favorite items to immerse in this week for a more classical take on the so wanted aesthetic.
