ONE-STOP MOVIE, ONE-STOP NOVEL

pics: flores-de-paris.tumbler

I was never a huge fan of great novels turned into high budget movies. The resold is usually a disaster and in most of the cases satisfying. Hopefully the classic novel and perfect representation of the Jazz Age written in 1925, will turn rise to the occasion.

ON MY WISHLIST

I have two bag obsessions and both come from the same brand: Little Liffener. Both absolutely drop dead gorgeous, both on my wishlist. Yes, Little Liffner Cognac and Black Powerpouch and Tote all-mightly. And all-mighty it is. Already intrigued? Find out more about the brand right here.

AKRIS RESORT 2014

I was tempted to say Celine when I saw this look. Then, at a closer inspection, Albert Kriemler's name came to my attention and I realized why Akris looks so slick and hyper stylish. I usually go for one impact color but for those willing to give their outfits a refreshing twist, expect vivid accents as well.

PINA COLADA

pics: AQUAZZURA on Instagram

As I sit and watch my long collection of Vogue magazines I realize that a lot of fashion editors have fallen for AQUAZZURA like I did and lately for what Edgardo Osorio named Pina Colada.
No, not a cocktail but what I like to call dropdead glamor. Or just the beginning of a footwear fetish.

GRAPHIC PERSPECTIVES

pics: Peter Pilotto, No. 21, Mary Katrantzou, Vogue.fr, Style.com

No doubt that a extra busy day can turn your schedule but nothing can stand between me and the ultimate graphic prints. And in my pursuit, one that started after almost nine hours at the office (!!!!), three names did stood apart: Peter Piloto, No. 21 and Mary Katrantzou. All amazing in their own way and yes, expensive. : )
But I have found in time that most of the times you have to pay extra and probably all your money for great designs. Pieces that you will be able to mix time and time again and that are going to remain in your wardrobe for years to come and probably stir all your girlfriends envy. : )

JEFF KOONS. GAZING BALL.

David Zwirner is pleased to present Gazing Ball, the world debut of a new series of sculptures in the gallery’s West 19th Street spaces.
One of the most prominent artists working today, Jeff Koons is well known for his bold paintings and sculptures. Typically working in series, his art holds up a mirror to contemporary consumer culture, using the photorealistic, commercial aesthetic familiar from an earlier generation of Pop artists to generate his own unique and universally recognizable style. His subjects range from toys to inflatables to household items to luxury goods and sexualized imagery. His references to popular media are evidenced not merely in his choice of subject matter but also in his visual techniques: his sculptures often involve smooth, glistening surfaces while his paintings employ bright and saturated colors.
More about the artist, right here.

As you probably already noticed, bracelets are having their moment again. The bags already ceded a part of their domain to the mighty shoe but now, they're back.
